The passengers onboard the Titanic found themselves in a delicate condition, both physically and emotionally. The sheer scale of the tragedy weighed heavily on everyone's hearts. As the ship started to sink, the passengers had to face the horrifying reality of their impending doom.

Here are the stories of 17 women who traveled aboard the ill-fated Titanic in various trimesters of their pregnancies. Three of these women conceived while they were on the Titanic or just before they sailed and did not even know they were with child. All of the women were enjoying their trip aboard the doomed ship, with many of them filled with hopes and dreams for the future and their unborn children. Some of these mothers-to-be survived the Titanic disaster and others did not make it. While many of these mothers carried their babies to full term, others had more heartache to overcome.
This book is also the story of the birth of the Titanic, conceived to be the largest man-made movable object in the world. She found herself in a delicate condition twice: first at her launching as she lay balanced on her slipways to begin her life at sea, and later after hitting the iceberg and fighting for her life.
In memory of these 17 women, we, the authors, will donate 17% of our royalties from the sales of this book to the Maternity Care Coalition, serving families across southeastern Pennsylvania.
