A trip to India suggested by his sister, Sammi, provides the basis for a lighthearted memoir of a journey not to be repeated. Sammi put a twist in Jim's future with her statement, "Let's Go To India." Being a grasshopper at heart, his positive response was immediate. Everything was put on hold while they satisfied a "bucket list" event Sammi had been thinking about for years. Although India was the furthest thing from his mind, it only took a nanosecond for it to jump to the top of his list. Why be practical when given an opportunity to avoid doing the right thing like getting a job, paying off credit cards, showing responsibility? It was to be a religious pilgrimage to absorb and participate in a renaissance of a 1960's experience; at least that was Sammi's thinking. Jim was going along for the ride to make sure Sammi survived the experience. The story is humorous without being flip and the darker moments are without remorse.
