Are you an engineering aspirant looking for a promising career in the public sector? If yes, then you must be familiar with Gate, IES, and all public sector units (PSUs). These exams provide a plethora of opportunities for engineering graduates across various disciplines. In this comprehensive guide, we will delve into every aspect of these exams and unravel the secrets to cracking them.
What is GATE?
GATE, abbreviated for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, is a national-level examination conducted jointly by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB). It is primarily conducted to test the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science to grant admission to postgraduate programs such as ME, MTech, and PhD.
An added advantage of GATE is that some of the PSUs also consider GATE scores for recruitment purposes. This makes GATE a gateway for securing jobs in prestigious government organizations.
